How strong is the Xbox wireless adapter?
Feb 23rd
I live in an apartment building and the only wifi in the structure is on the 7th floor and im on the 3rd! Is there any way i could connect to xbox live or would the signal be too weak? Is there any dif bet the N adapter and the standard?
Put it this way……..I can beat mine in an arm wrestle!!
Seriously though the regular 'one aerial' adapter has IEEE 802.11a, b and g. Where as the other one the 'two aerial' N adapter is the same but with IEEE 802.11 n.
Would the xbox 360 wireless adapter work?
Feb 23rd
I don't want to move it. the router is not far but blocked by a brick wall and 2-3 more behide it? i dont know for sure if the xbox 360 adapter will work so i might get that and a Cisco-Linksys WRT54G2 Wireless-G Broadband Router to go with it but im still not sure if that will work and anyone help me?
will the regular adapter work or should i get the N adapter?
Answer:
If your near the router, then use your Wireless G. If you are considered that you might not get a good signal then, yes get the Wireless N adapter.
There is one thing to take in mind, a Wireless N adapter needs a Wireless N Router, so you can take advantage of the wireless N. If you have a Wireless G Router, but have a Wireless N adapter, then your Wireless adapter will go in Wireless G mode.

Selling Xbox 360 gamestop warranty sticker?
Feb 20th
Today I went to Eachgame.com and they didnt buy my xbox 360 because the guy said it didnt have a warranty sticker and he couldn't take it in, he didn't even test it he immediately open the face plate to see if the warranty sticker was there.
The xbox 360 has never been opened, i took it off when i was putting a custom faceplate and i thought the sticker was worthless since it only said "microsoft" didnt say anything about warranty. So I took my cousins warranty sticker and put it on mine, the sticker is missing some silver spots and its a little bit wrinkled, would they still take it? I put it under the Xbox 360 dvd drive.
Answer:
If you want, you can actually buy warranty stickers on ebay. I bought a few a while back. They're hella cheap.
Microsoft May Be Planning New Music Service Zune
Feb 20th
Microsoft has never had much luck in the digital music space. Their Zune service was relatively ignored and I don’t know a single person who uses last.fm on their Xbox 360. The company may be planning to change that.
CNET got the exclusive scoop from insiders that Microsoft is in talks with record companies to create a new music service to offer on Windows phones and Xbox 360. It remains to be seen if the rumored service will replace the company’s preexisting Zune service or if it will complement the service.
The sources said that the service is still being being planned out with negotiations under way. Microsoft is apparently wanting to launch the service later this year and would allow users to stream and download music.
The rumors suggest that Microsoft is also in talks with HTC and Nokia to implement the new service in their Windows phones.
With the service allegedly allowing users to stream and download music, it would set Microsoft in a much better position to compete with Apple and Google. Both companies already have their own music services on their mobile operating systems – iTunes and Google Music respectively.
Microsoft is obviously moving towards a more media-oriented operating system with Windows 8 and they are already there with the Xbox 360 and Windows phones. You can bet this new service will become a reality this year. It just remains to be seen if their proposed video service ala Netflix will ever take off the ground after negotiations were reportedly halted.
The ESRB Rates FEZ-it’s really-happening
Feb 2nd
The Polytron Twitter account has confirmed that FEZ will be receiving a rating of “E for Everyone”. The wonderful part about this news is that it further drives home the fact that development on the game has been completed.
That means we’ll soon be relaxing in front of our television sets, Xbox 360 controller in hand, jumping from platform to platform while rotating the world around us. When exactly is a mystery at the moment.
