How strong is the Xbox wireless adapter?
Feb 23rd
I live in an apartment building and the only wifi in the structure is on the 7th floor and im on the 3rd! Is there any way i could connect to xbox live or would the signal be too weak? Is there any dif bet the N adapter and the standard?
Put it this way……..I can beat mine in an arm wrestle!!
Seriously though the regular 'one aerial' adapter has IEEE 802.11a, b and g. Where as the other one the 'two aerial' N adapter is the same but with IEEE 802.11 n.
Would the xbox 360 wireless adapter work?
Feb 23rd
I don't want to move it. the router is not far but blocked by a brick wall and 2-3 more behide it? i dont know for sure if the xbox 360 adapter will work so i might get that and a Cisco-Linksys WRT54G2 Wireless-G Broadband Router to go with it but im still not sure if that will work and anyone help me?
will the regular adapter work or should i get the N adapter?
Answer:
If your near the router, then use your Wireless G. If you are considered that you might not get a good signal then, yes get the Wireless N adapter.
There is one thing to take in mind, a Wireless N adapter needs a Wireless N Router, so you can take advantage of the wireless N. If you have a Wireless G Router, but have a Wireless N adapter, then your Wireless adapter will go in Wireless G mode.

Selling Xbox 360 gamestop warranty sticker?
Feb 20th
Today I went to Eachgame.com and they didnt buy my xbox 360 because the guy said it didnt have a warranty sticker and he couldn't take it in, he didn't even test it he immediately open the face plate to see if the warranty sticker was there.
The xbox 360 has never been opened, i took it off when i was putting a custom faceplate and i thought the sticker was worthless since it only said "microsoft" didnt say anything about warranty. So I took my cousins warranty sticker and put it on mine, the sticker is missing some silver spots and its a little bit wrinkled, would they still take it? I put it under the Xbox 360 dvd drive.
Answer:
If you want, you can actually buy warranty stickers on ebay. I bought a few a while back. They're hella cheap.
My XBOX 360 Color screen has change Green
Dec 27th
I was readin other posts about people having issues with the colour changing on screen and going this weird green gray colour, as one guy explained it was like night vision and it kept fading in and out! A lot of people mentioned Halo3 but I was playing COD Black OPS online when mine went funny. I have HALO3 ODST and only played it a few times and haven't had it in teh machine for months. My XBOX is the original one since 2006/2007 and this is the first problem I've had. Has anyone any solutions before I ring MS and they try to sting me for a repair on what is obviously another fault on their machine!

Xbox 360 DVD Disc Driver Problem,Can’t Fix?
Nov 1st
I was playing on my Xbox 360 a few months ago and knocked it over, with a disc still running inside it. Hey presto, I get a circular scratch right around the disc and hundreds of little scratches (going the way the disc spins, not in – out).
I have tried the toothpaste solution four times now and so far it hasn't worked. Every time I put the game in the Xbox after trying to fix it it goes to play like a dvd, or just pops up with 'Unrecognised Disc'.
Is there any other way to fix the xbox 360 dvd disc driver, or should I resign to the fact that the disc is beyond saving?

4 of the Best Cooperative Games for Xbox 360
Oct 25th
Castle Crashers
I’m not gonna lie, Castle Crashers is the game that convinced me I needed an Xbox 360 a couple of years back. Addictive hack and slash gameplay, RPG elements, tons of loot and great humor this game is a whole barrel of fun.
The best part? It supports 4 player coop, either local or over Xbox live. Sure the screen can get a little full when the action gets intense, but you won’t care; it’s just so much fun working with your team mates, and periodically competing with them.
Oh, and the soundtrack is one of the best out there.
Dead Island
Okay, so Dead Island has gotten a bit of a bad rep from some people (myself included) but when it all comes down to it, this game is one mean cooperative experience. While the single player campaign may be more of a nuisance than anything, trekking through it with three friends is a blast.
Unlike other games where people compete for loot and gear, I find that in Dead Island players actually work together, and compete against one another for “head stops” more than anything. Maybe this is a hopeful sign for things to come, if we ever do have a real Zombie apocalypse on our hands.
Splinter Cell: Conviction
Splinter Cell: Conviction might be a stealth focused action game, but even not normally into those games are sure to find this outing in the franchise both accessible and addictive. Best of all, it has a separate 2 player cooperative campaign, and a plethora of other modes like survival that are guaranteed hours of gameplay.
With innovative mechanics that allow players to mark enemies and instantly execute them together, in game rewards for reviving your comrade, and a persistent upgrade system, this is one experience that people who like working together shouldn’t miss.
Scott Pilgrim vs The World
Scott Pilgrim vs the World is a four player cooperative game, with light RPG elements and a whole slew of bad guys to pummel. Based off the addictive formula of side-scrollers like River City Ransom, players go from one area to the next beating up everything in sight, while collecting cash to increase their abilities and buy snacks.
What makes this game so good is the personality. The 8 bit style graphics, and amazing soundtrack by Anamanaguchi are one of a kind. There’s also plenty of humorous moments, nods to other great games and even a few secret modes you can unlock at the main menu.
Borderlands
Four players and millions of guns, all set in a post-apocalyptic future with RPG style leveling and character development? Sign me up! Run across the desserts and abandoned towns shooting everything in sight, blast your way through some ridiculous vehicular combat and fight some really large creatures.
Borderlands is fun on your own, but great with three friends. The campaign is nice and long, and with all the expansions out right now there is a ton of gameplay in this package.
Battlefield 3 on 360 Looks ‘Standard-Def’ without Installation
Oct 25th
As we previously reported, the Xbox 360 version of Battlefield 3 will include an optional hi-res texture installation. The installation is necessary because the game’s textures are quite large, and hard drives can stream data much faster than DVD drives. Why make it optional then? Because not every 360 owner has a hard drive, of course. That's common knowledge by now, but new details have started to pour in.
First off, GamerZines, who first mentioned the Xbox 360 installation, recently revealed that the install size is 1.5 Gigabytes – a relatively small amount compared to installing an entire game disc. Even owners of the ancient, tiny 20 GB hard drive shouldn’t experience too much trouble in clearing up that much room.
The same site spoke with Battlefield 3’s Executive Producer Patrick Bach, who referred to the 360 version sans-installation as the ‘standard-def’ version of the game. But words are one thing and visuals another. Over the weekend, a reddit user known as xxggrplayer actually posted screenshot comparisons between the Xbox 360 version with and without hi-resolution textures (low-resolution version at top). To view the comparison at full resolution, follow this link. The pictures speak for themselves – Battlefield 3 looks markedly worse without the proper textures.
The installation issue reminds me of how Konami wanted an optional installation for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow on 360 but Microsoft shut them down. Shame on the big MS for that one, but perhaps Battlefield 3 proves that they’ll be more receptive to the practice in the future.
What do you think about DICE’s decision to create two different looks for the game depending on whether or not users install textures to the hard drive? Personally, I don’t feel sorry for hard drive-less Xbox 360 owners this late in the game. Microsoft keeps releasing larger drives as accessories, and older, smaller drives can easily be purchased on the cheap.

Do Update Xbox 360 dashboard through USB or CD?
Oct 13th
I take an empty flash drive and copy the system update folder onto it. I insert the flash drive into the Xbox and turn the power off and then back on. My flash drive lights up but nothing happens.
I have also tried burning the system update folder onto a CD (as a data disk). I put the disc into the 360 turn the power off then turn it back on. Unfortunately, nothing happens. Should I be burning the file to the disc as an image?
Also on the 360 website it talks about pushing the reset button. I bought my Xbox 360 HDMI cables you sometime ago and have hardly played with it. Is the reset button the black one in

why xbox 360 controller mod can increase ones gaming talents
Sep 19th
The gaming world is constantly evolving new ways to enhance a player’s skill or experience. These innovations come in the form of modifications applied to every component included with a console system. An Xbox 360 controller mod is growing in popularity due to their unique features and flexible programmability.
The most popular games out there are first person shooters. They pit player against player in massive online battles. Advantage, provided by rapid-fire capabilities, is a goal for many gamers. These enhanced remotes enable the player to increase their speed and reaction time.
Because the needs and wishes of an individual vary from person to person, manufacturers have created a large amount of customization options. These can be as simple as interchangeable, ergonomically designed grips to extensive color and pattern styles that reflect the players’ identity. Now, even a left-handed gamer can feel totally comfortable with their controller.
Some people do not like the thumb-sticks that come with a boxed remote. Others simply want theirs to stand-out from their friends. Suppliers have tapped into this market with a myriad of choices. From altering the stick positioning to flashy and colorful displays of style, one can easily find the right thumb-stick replacements from the many available options.
The casing itself can even be swapped out for a more comfortable or stylish result.
Manufacturer’s offer them in a variety of colors and a plethora of designs. People can even represent their favorite games with a case that has color patterns and molded shapes of creatures from the game. Wood paneling, custom wording and glossy paint are just a few of the options out there.
An Xbox 360 controller mod is easily attainable through a simple internet search. Whether an individual is just looking to express themselves or gain a tactical advantage, these modifications can fit any need. The only real problem a gamer faces is deciding which ones are right for them.
How to Rename Xbox 360 Hard Drives or Memory Storage Devices.
Sep 14th
I thought it would be cool if CAG's stated what they named their Xbox 360 Hard Drives or Memory Storage Devices.
If you had no clue that you could rename it, please follow these instructions:
1. Go to the Xbox "Main Menu."
2. Scroll to "My Xbox," choose "System Settings," and then "Memory."
3. Select "Hard Drive" and hit the "Y" button on your controller. This will take you to the "Device Options" screen.
4. Entering your Xbox's new name is faster on a USB keyboard.

Entering your Xbox's new name is faster on a USB keyboard.
Select the "Rename" option, and use either a handheld Xbox 360 Messenger Kit keyboard, a USB keyboard plugged into your Xbox 360, or the on-screen keyboard, to enter a name that is less than 26 characters.
5. Select "Done" on the screen to save the new name.

Modded Xbox 360 Firmware Problem
Aug 30th
It's been a while since I was in the modding scene but I want to try out the new madden. I have 1.5 FW for my Samsung. My xbox is banned. I used to patch my games to wave 3 and they would play without any problems but now i'm reading that they have wave 12 games and new dashboard updates. I just want to know how to get new games played on my old phat samsung drives. Can I patch the new games to wave 3? Any help would be really appreciated.
Solution:
You can't patch wave 12 and 13 games to an earlier wave because they won't boot.
The best solution for you is this: -
1. Flash your 360 back to stock
2. Update the dashboard to the latest
3. Flash your 360 to the latest LT+ for your drive (1.9 for Samsungs I think) Xbox 360 hdd case
This is probably what we're going to have to do with every dashboard update going forward as a lot of people are having issues trying to update their dashboard when their drive isn't flashed back to stock (although it works fine for some, but I wouldn't risk it).
Xbox 360 Wireless Controller doesn’t start working
Aug 23rd
I have an Xbox 360 wireless controller. I was playing it earlier today and all of a sudden the microphone doesn’t start working. It was working perfectly until that happened. This has happened a lot recently but it started to work after, but not this time. Should I buy a new controller? and yes, whats are some good ones that don’t get ruined so easily. Or is it the microphone that’s the problem?
Solution:
Ask a friend to come over to your house and try his controller before you buy a new one. Or try a friend’s mic in your controller.
Look at your controllers mic hole and see if its lose if its lose theres your problem if not its most to likely its yours mic i dont think there really is any pro controllers out there besides what microsoft sells
Microsoft To Integrate Skype With Xbox 360?
Aug 18th
If leaked videos are to be believed, software giant Microsoft Corporation is integrating video chat and telephony service provider Skype with its gaming console, Xbox 360.
According to tech website Win Rumours, early on Wednesday a video was leaked on YouTube that showed off new features that will be added to the gaming console Xbox 360 later this year. The listed features included Skype, fuelling rumours that Xbox 360 will enable gamers to interact with their Windows Live friends even while playing games.
The latest survey conducted by Microsoft Corp also revealed that Zune and Skype are among the most awaited features for Xbox 360.
Microsoft revealed its plans to acquire Skype in May this year, however, the $8.5 billion deal is still pending awaiting the approval of the EU Commission. The deal which is expected to close in October will make the current chief executive of Skype, Tony Bates, the chief of Microsoft Skype division, who will report directly to Steve Ballmer, the current CEO of Microsoft.Xbox 360 Headsets
Although the details available are scant, Microsoft plans to integrate the video chat and telephony service with a variety of its products which include, Xbox and Kinect, Windows Phones and others to connect its Outlook, Xbox Live and other users with Skype.
Xbox 360 controller have problem in Windows 7
Aug 17th
I’m trying to get an Xbox 360 controller I bought to work with my Windows 7 Home Premium via the Plug and Charge connector, but Windows seems to be having problems.
I’ve downloaded the latest drivers, they installed fine, and when I open the Device Manager, “Xbox 360 Wireless Controller via Plug & Charge kit” shows up under Microsoft Common Controller for Windows Class, but when I try to set up USB game controllers it doesn’t appear on the list. The controller triggers the recognition chord when I plug it in, but when I turn the controller on it simply flashes the green ring and does nothing. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, I’m at my wit’s end. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Microsoft Will Release Skype for Xbox 360 soon?
Aug 2nd
Microsoft’s latest Xbox awards survey hints at the possibility of a Skype for Xbox application arriving soon. “Other than playing games, which of the following activities do you enjoy on Xbox 360?” asks the survey. The answers include watching DVDs and Zune movies but curiously includes “using Skype” as an option. Microsoft isn’t speaking fully about its Skype plans until the EU commission has approved the deal. The company has previously confirmed the service will make its way to the Xbox and Kinect. Tony Bates, Skype’s CEO, revealed last month that an October time frame is realistic for the deal to be complete. “We already got through the US side of it,” Bates said at a technology conference in Aspen, Colorado. “We still have Europe so it’s anyone’s guess, but I would say we’ve got a couple of months more here,” he said. “Maybe sort of an October time frame would be my guess.”
The software giant announced its intentions to purchase Skype in May. Microsoft’s deal is valued at $8.5 billion cash and will see Skype CEO Tony Bates assume the title of president of the Microsoft Skype Division. Bates will report directly to Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. Microsoft says Skype will support Microsoft devices like Xbox and Kinect, Windows Phone and a wide array of Windows devices, and Microsoft will connect Skype users with Lync, Outlook, Xbox Live and other communities.Xbox 360 headsets
Microsoft’s Skype deal timing in October could pave the way for an Xbox Skype application in time for the fall dashboard update. Microsoft’s latest dashboard update will bring Bing search and a new Metro tile user interface to the platform. Skype currently has 170 million connected users and saw over 207 billion minutes of voice and video conversations in 2010 alone.
Does the xbox 360 transfer cable work for other xbox?
Jul 26th
Is there just one xbox cable? Or does it go by your xbox GB?… And do you plug it into your xbox or your hard drive?
It’s for the Xbox 360 hard drives to move content from one to anther and yes it works on all. You connect your old hard drive to your 360 and then plug one end of the cable into the back of your 360 and the other into the new hard drive. You can move content from one hard drive to one of equal or more space. You cannot move from a larger to a smaller.

How to fix wireless xbox 360 headset?
Jul 25th
I brought an xbox 360 wireless headset last year and only managed to use it a few times and then it wouldn’t turn on and stopped charging one day. I lost the receipt so there was no way of me getting a replacement. Could anyone diagnose the problem and have a solution to fixing it?
Solution:
Best thing to do it to take it into where you bought it and let them have a look, there maybe nothing they can do, or something (with a small fee). But if it does fail to work I’d get a new one. My headsets break alot, just buy a cheap new one, or get a Turtle Beach
they cost about £50 for x1′s. The prices range for quality, but they wont let you down.
I’m guessing it the one small one that looks like a blue tooth , and most likely the batteries are dead because of not properly charging it the first time you used it. happened to me before and if you lost the receipt it shouldn’t matter as long as you don’t want money back, you should be able to exchange it.
Can I play videos without updating on the 360 ?
Jul 13th
I have an Xbox 360 and an Xbox 360 external hard drive and I want to watch videos from the hard drive. The problem is I do not have an internet connection on my 360, so when I try to play a video it says it needs to update codecs.
My question is, are there any video formats that are compatable with the 360 without any updates?
Reviews:
I found out I can play .wmv files without an update but wmv videos are very uncommon. Does anyone know of any other fomats that work?
Mpeg codecs should work too, the update is for divx or xvid codes (.avi).
Best games to play with Xbox 360 controller?
Jul 5th
I’ve just bought an Xbox 360 gamepad controller for my PC. Could anyone recommend some games that play really well with the controller? Any and all recommendations welcome – any genre.
Solution:
Dead Space
Prince of Persia, all
Tomb Raider, all
Trine
Psychonauts
Racing games, any
Assassin’s Creed, all
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Most of the games that were released on the xbox 360 should work well with it aswell. I do love playing old games with it though, was playing an NES game with it a couple of days ago.
Slightly OT, but is there a list somewhere of PC games with native support for the 360 controller on the button prompts as well (Like it is in Super Meat Boy, when I plug it in, it changes from “Space” to jump to “A” to jump.
Also, as I see GTA4 is mentioned, I guess I’ll try it with a controller. the controls did feel clunky with the keyboard, and it may just have been me, as I’m mostly a console gamer.
My Xbox 360 Controller Not Working on Mac?
Jul 5th
Online I’ve found guides to use the Xbox 360 controller on Mac. The driver is compatible with OS X Tiger but the controller doesn’t show up under the Xbox 360 Controllers preference pane.
I have the controller plugged into the USB on the back on the computer (the keyboard usb says that it doesn’t have enough power, no surprise.) and even after restarting the computer it doesn’t show up. I KNOW this controller works because I can use it on both an actual Xbox 360 and on a notebook PC. Any idea?
How to buy xbox 360?
Jun 22nd
I’ve been considering buying a 360 for a little while, mostly for Call of Duty but also for a couple other games that aren’t available (or good) on the Wii. Since I’m new to Xbox, I thought I’d ask a few questions I have about differences between the versions of 360s.
I’m looking to keep my purchase fairly cheap, so the two main models I’ve been looking at are a 20GB Refurbished Pro for $100, and a 4GB Refurbished Elite (or at least I think it’s an Elite…it’s black) for $170. I’ve tried to look up the differences between the Pro and the Elite, but I haven’t been very successful. The Pro is cheaper and has more memory, so I’m wondering what the downside is when compared to an Elite. Does the Pro not have built-in Wifi? If not, will buying an adapter push that cost over the cost of the Elite? I don’t care too much about the Elite having HDMI and the Pro only having Xbox 360 HD cables, and I’m not interested in Kinect. The extra memory on the Pro is nice, but I’m not overly concerned about needing a lot of memory since I’m not a really hardcore gamer (as evidenced by the fact that I survived with only a Wii for 4 years).
So, my main question is which is the better buy between the two? Are there any other models I should look at? Should I not even be looking at refurbished consoles because they break easily and will just end up costing me more in the long run? Is it a mistake in general to buy a 360 this late in its life cycle?
Answer:
Hey people on this board is lazy and don’t like replying to certain topics.I had this same a couple months ago when I was considering buying a 360.Don’t worry though because I’m here to help you.Refurbished Items is usually broken but are sent back to the manufacturer to be repaired.I purchased them before, some work for years and some break after weeks. The warranty is usually 30 days and no extension option.I would personally go for the xbox 360 slim if I were you.You can get 1 brand new on ebay for about $185 or used at gamestop for about $170.The new slim models are the latest and unlike the first 360(white) or the elite, the slim don’t get red ring of death. If you don’t know what red ring is google it.The slim model is wifi and play videos very smoothly when streaming,I was impressed with the picture and the reliable signal. The slim model don’t have the overheating problems older models had which caused red ring.I had the slim 4gb for 9 months now and it’s been very reliable.Online gaming is great especially call of duty.Make sure u get a mic too for online gaming,u can get a good 1 for under $7 on ebay,as well a rechargeable battery.I say it’s best to spend a lil more and get the better console opposed to the cheaper 1 that may break after 2 months then your out of warranty and $100.
Will a GAMEware Xbox 360 cooling fan stop the RROD
Jun 20th
I am thinking about getting a 360 and I just wanted to know if the cooling fan will prevent the RROD
Answers
no it could still happen depending on room temp but it dose help to lower the chance of it happening
I believe that if you were to buy a new XBox 360 you’d stand a better chance against RRoD without the cooling fan.
The Xbox 360 cooling fan isn’t advised by Microsoft as they can cause some strain on your power unit which could just result in another problem with the XBox.

How do get audio with XBOX 360 Headset?
May 23rd
When I connect my xbox 360 headset to my controller, should I get the audio or it just happens during online chat. So if i am palying a game offline, that headset wouldn’t provide audio?
The headset is for communicating with other players online. You have to be in a xbox live chat party or in a private chat to here anyone. It is not for getting the game audio. (But if you are in a party and you can hear people but they can’t hear you make sure your headset mic isn’t muted by going to settings)
How to connect the internet though Linksys Router for my Xbox 360
Apr 19th
I have an Xbox 360 and wireless internet in my building. I do have a Linksys braodband router to use to make my Xbox wireless instead of buying the expensive Xbox wireless adapter.
Answer:
The 360 must go online using something plugged into either the Ethernet or USB port on the back. That being said we can begin to narrow down our options: 1 if you want to get the most bang for your buck, you should do whatever you can to wire it directly to your router, it’ll definitely give you the best performance. There are other devices that can receive a wireless signal much like the official Xbox360 wireless adapter does. Unfortunately, most of them are just as expensive as the official adapter is, and there’s no guarantee that they;ll work. Your only other option then is something that does not technically use wireless, but doesn’t require a direct line from the router…this is where it gets pretty specific. And this is pretty much your only other option. These things are called PoE adapters (Power over Ethernet) these things actually work pretty well.
They come in two parts, the first part you plug from you router to any standard wall outlet. Then the device uses your buildings wiring to transfer the connection to the second device that is plugged in between your Xbox and another wall outlet. It works just like a wired connection, but without having to run new wiring. The problem here again: Cost. These run anywhere from $30-$100 depending on where you get them.
So sorry, but these are your only alternatives to just buying the wireless adapter (as far as I know). To review, your 3 options are: Wired (through a standard Ethernet cable, which will run you between $10 and $30 depending on length), wireless (which is less reliable and more pricey, but saves a lot of trouble) or Poe (which is more reliable than wireless, but just as expensive, and most models take up a power outlet, and it requires that you have direct access to your wireless router).
Xbox 360 HDD for the xbox 360 slim Problem
Mar 22nd
Anyway, I bought a Xbox 360 HDD from Eachgame.com, its new for the xbox 360 slim and very cheap.
Well my question is:Do the drives need to come with a case in order to fit in the console?
Solution:
Just put the hard drive in like normal and it will work, i did this with my friends xbox 4gb works fine u dont need the case at all. its a little bit lose inside though so be careful when you move it.
You do need the case. This guy is taking laptop drives and putting them in knockoff slim HDD cases to get the 360 to recognize them. The 360 will not recognize it without the case.
The limit of carry on Bags for digital products on airplane
Mar 22nd
I asked before a question if I can carry my laptop and my xbox 360 together on the carry on bag bc the checked bags arent considered fragile handled by the workers so heres another question to add up to that… What are the limits of the carry on bags? Im taking a backpack (just like a school’s backpack) as a carry on and Im including my laptop and my Xbox 360 HDD Case (without cables) in it… now here I want to ask about the limits for Im bringing some fragile things in the checked bags and I would like them to be with me on the carry on for example.
My external Hard drive for my laptop.
My Garmin Gps with all the data to the country Im going to Cd’s and Dvd’s case (just one big case not the individual ones)
Iphone and Mp3
Believe it or not my 2,999.99 car radio =P couldn’t let it go
etc…
Anyways I can fit all this into the backpack but is there a general rule to this? like a certain weight or certain amount of stuff Im supposed to put there? bc I really dont understand that general rule of one personal item but you can still bring a whole sized bag just for it? thanks a lot guys, I’ve been living in this country for over 13 years so I have a lot of stuff I want to take over to another country that Im attached on and dont want to lose it or have it broken by the baggage handlers.
Answer
It completely depends on the airport your travelling from and which airlines. In the UK if you fly easyjet or ryan air you can take 1 piece of hand baggage per person upto the weight of 10kg as long as it meets their dimension requirements. If you fly with a charter airline they only permit one piece of small hand baggage upto 5kg. International airlines will turn a blind eye to laptop cases etc as they know people are on business. Normally they make exceptions for ladies as they allow them to carry their handbag as additional.
Some airports will only permit you to take one piece of hang baggage through into the departure lounge. I’ve seen check in staff give people plastic bags so they can put their two items of hand baggage in one bag just to get through the security check.
So really it depends on your check in staff and the security staff. I always travel with laptop, wii, and all my electricals in one backpack. Its just a pain as they usually want to scan each item separate when going though security. And you can always put your iphone and mp3 in your pockets.
Ideally contact your airline or look at their website and it will tell you what they expect for hand baggage. Check the airport website too, to see if they have any additional restrictions.

Five Steps to Mod Xbox 360 Controller for Shooting Games
Dec 31st
The first step is the easiest: unscrew the back of the controller. I think you can handle that. We need to get at the insides because we’re going to mess around with the actual circuit board in there.
Next you’ve got to remove the circuit board so you can get behind it, on the back of the controller. You’re going to make a little 5mm hole in back of where the actual modification is going to take place. This will eventually be where your new button will come out of.
The next step in engineering Xbox 360 rapid fire controllers is to install the button. Of course, you’ll need a button to do this, but you will have already gotten that and the other accessories, right?
After that you’ve got to carefully solder the new wires into place. This is the part where the process can’t be explained anymore, and if you really want to do it yourself (DIY) then you’ll have to consult some jpeg’s or video. There’s documentation in this form out there somewhere.
The final step in building your Xbox 360 controllers involves a somewhat complicated process of refastening the two halves while getting the button into place. The button has to be solid so it won’t bobble around or fall out or in. And after that all you’ve got to do is plug your new rapid fire controller in (if it’s wired) and start playing some good old Call of Duty 4. Don’t advertise the fact that you’re cheating a bit. Keep it on the DL or else you’ll gain a lot of haters and that can have adverse consequences.
Xbox 360 hard drive have problem when play Halo 3
Dec 7th
My console came with a Xbox 360 4G Hard Drive, and I have a 2G USB plugged into the port as well. When i play Halo 3, it asks me to choose a device to save to. It has both the options listed above, labeled as “Memory Unit”‘s. So, I know my console and the game are both detecting the Drives. However, when I try and record/save a film under the Theater Lobby, it says “An Xbox 360 Hard Drive is required to record save films.” What to do?
What is the difference between a Xbox hard disk 4gb and 250 gb?
Dec 3rd
Apart from the obvious difference in HD size and color, is there any difference? Ive heard from a game magazine editor that the 4 gb can’t play games over xbox live, and has a limitation to what games that can be played on it. I also hear that halo reach cant be played on it, and if this is true, does this apply to any other games?
Xbox 360 gta 4 on cell phone problem
Nov 25th
How to enter cheats on cell phone Xbox 360 gta 4?
I cant figure out how to enter the cheats on Grand theft Auto Four for my Xbox 360. I get the cell phone up, but how do i move from number
to number to select them??
I think you Use the d-pad and press down and it will move down to the numbers, then just type them in.
in order to get to the numbers you need to press up the button that brings up the cell phone (I forget which one it is) twice.
Ok once you see the cell phone on the low right corner, press up on your D-pad.
You should see numbers. Use your D-pad to select the number.
Then press A to add the number, then once you have the phone number you can call it.
A problem about Xbox 360 wireless network adapter pick?
Nov 25th
Probably a dumb question, but I pick up a wifi signal from a neighbor for my laptop. My Nintendo Wii picks it up as well. Will the Xbox 360 wireless adapter pick it up as well where I can play online? ]
That’s actually what the wireless network adapter is for. WiFi just means “Wireless Fidelity”, a lot of people think wifi is a type of wireless internet, but it’s just a short name meaning wireless capable. If you have a neighbor who does not have his modem locked out and you can access it with your computer and wii, then the wireless adapter for the XBox will do the same exact thing and you will be good to go! As long as your neighbor doesn’t try to lock you out, then you’ll have to do some beating.
It should. And yes. That is what the adapter is for. I’m just buying a modem for my xbox 360 because it’s cheep and its a faster connection. The wireless adapter is $100 which really sucks. so yeah. try to get a modem.

How to buy cheap xbox 360 hard disk, include 250GB/20GB?
Nov 25th
The new Xbox 360 redesign is slimmer, quieter, sleeker, has built in Wireless N, and has a Xbox 250GB hard drive. It is not a new console, and is not any spectacular leap for Xbox. This is simply a better Xbox 360. First off, the console looks great. It is much smaller than the current model, and has a really nice black glossy finish (although fingerprints show up a lot easier). The buttons are now touch sensitive rather than physical buttons. It is also, as said by Microsoft, “whisper quiet”. Unlike the current model, this one doesn’t sound like a jet engine when running, and allows it to be practically unnoticed, a big plus when watching movies. It also has built in Wireless N Wifi, which adds a significant value to this console, as the current adapters Microsoft sells are in the $70-$100 range.
They also added a 250GB internal hard drive, which is removable, but NOT compatible with current 360′s. If you are looking to upgrade, you are going to have to transfer all of your stuff from the old Xbox to the new one using USB drives (this 360 does not have memory unit slots, just USB). The console is also Kinect ready, and includes a specific port for Kinect when it launches this November. This port supplies the Kinect camera with power and the connection to the Xbox, whereas otherwise you would have to plug in Kinect to the wall for power AND the Xbox for the connection.
Bottom line, if you don’t have a 360 and want to make the jump, this is the time to do it. If you have a 20GB 360 or a console that’s giving you problems (overheating etc.), I would say you should look at upgrading. If you have a fairly newer 360 model, I think you should just hold off.

Solution:
Setting Up Your Wired Xbox 360 Controller for Your PC
First of all you want to download the software from Microsoft which will allow you to use your wired Xbox 360 controller to play PC games. You can find it at Microsoft Downloads.
Just fill in the relevant details, download the file and install it on your PC.
Some versions of Windows will automatically detect the controller when you plug it in and prompt you to update your system with the relevant drivers. You can try this first if you don’t want to download the software separately.
Once the software is installed you can plug your Xbox 360 controller into your USB port on your computer. To ensure it is working correctly select Game Controllers in the Control Panel in Windows.
Not all games support the controller; you can check the game manual to see whether your game does.
