The new Xbox 360 redesign is slimmer, quieter, sleeker, has built in Wireless N, and has a Xbox 250GB hard drive. It is not a new console, and is not any spectacular leap for Xbox. This is simply a better Xbox 360. First off, the console looks great. It is much smaller than the current model, and has a really nice black glossy finish (although fingerprints show up a lot easier). The buttons are now touch sensitive rather than physical buttons. It is also, as said by Microsoft, “whisper quiet”. Unlike the current model, this one doesn’t sound like a jet engine when running, and allows it to be practically unnoticed, a big plus when watching movies. It also has built in Wireless N Wifi, which adds a significant value to this console, as the current adapters Microsoft sells are in the $70-$100 range.
They also added a 250GB internal hard drive, which is removable, but NOT compatible with current 360′s. If you are looking to upgrade, you are going to have to transfer all of your stuff from the old Xbox to the new one using USB drives (this 360 does not have memory unit slots, just USB). The console is also Kinect ready, and includes a specific port for Kinect when it launches this November. This port supplies the Kinect camera with power and the connection to the Xbox, whereas otherwise you would have to plug in Kinect to the wall for power AND the Xbox for the connection.
Bottom line, if you don’t have a 360 and want to make the jump, this is the time to do it. If you have a 20GB 360 or a console that’s giving you problems (overheating etc.), I would say you should look at upgrading. If you have a fairly newer 360 model, I think you should just hold off.

I am trying to buy a new xbox and idk which one to get the halo reach 250 gb edition or the kinect 250 gb xbox 360 which would you choose.
hmmm, thats a tough one. if u like halo, then get the halo edition but if u dont like it alot then get the other one because if u dont like it alot, it gets rlly old, rlly fast. I sold my halo;reach 2 weeks after i got it, it wus an aweful game.
Plus the xbox s has built in wifi which is pretty sweet
ps3 slim with ps move i bought my xbox 360 elite and that thing is BAD u have to pay to play online and theres 51.2% chance that you will get 3 rings of death and ps3 is 10.7% BIG DIFFERENCE

Hi, i have a snes emulator and im trying to use my wireless xbox controller (with a charging usb) work for it. Im pretty sure i don’tt need to buy anything to sync with my pc because i have a usb cord to plug into my controller. Is there anything im doing wrong?
PS: Every time i turn the controller on it only turns on my xbox and has no function with pc at all. how can i stop that?

How to use wireless xbox 360 controller on pc without the receiver?

I just got Split Second for pc and want to play it with the xbox 360 controller, because, let’s face it-keyboard such as for racing games… I have a xbox wireless controller and the rechargeable battery pack for it. I really don’t wanna pay goddamn microsoft for a receiver that should be free… Is there any way I can get by buying one?
Solution:
No you can’t. The receiver is the only thing that will work. The cable from the Play and Charge kit will only charge to battery pack. Why should it be free anyway? It’s not like you’re trying to use it on your 360 and have to buy the receiver first. You’re using it for something extra so you have to pay to make it work. The xbox controller packaged as Games for Windows wireless controllers come with the receiver. Seems pretty fair to me.
umm there is no way u can do it with the xbox 360 wireless controller without the wireless receiver. If u have a rechargeable battery pack with a usb port just hook up the usb to your PC. Otherwise u either need to buy a wireless receiver or buy a wired controller. Here is the one i bought its cheapest but the most hardest to get used.Or u can still buy that receiver. hope this helped. loll .

I bought a wired xbox 360 controller and but the xbox won’t read it. I connected it to the usb port and all the controller does is blink. what am i doing wrong?

Hopefully thats the case, so here is how to turn it on
1) Press and hold down the Xbox guide button until the xbox controller turns on. The xbox guide button is the circle in the middle of the controller with the X on it, and when it’s on, green lights will flash around it.
2) Turn the Xbox on.
3) Press the small white button on the Xbox. It’s next to the rectangle cylinder things and under the silver disk tray.

4) Now press the little circle on the controller. It’s located next to the memory slots.
See that little circle with the ))) next to it, press that.

5) After the ring of light on the xbox controller and 360 spin and flash once, the controller is connected.

Yes, the xbox controller will work but the headset won't. The headset is specially made for the 360 alone.
