My question is must I buy a new online pass key to play fifa 12 online because of this new original disk or I can go on with that old online pass key which I bought for my backup dvd without concerning about flagging and such problems?

I got this Xbox to check out and try to fix. A dog pee'd in the part of the case where the fan is. Only thing is that the Xbox wasn't on at the time. It was dried before being turned on. After it was turned on, it continues to just power off after a minute or two. I did open it up to try to clean out what residue I could see and tried again, but no luck.

Trying to play 720p HDTV DD2.0 MPEG2. It is almost as if it needs to load first. Initially it starts playing fine but within a minute or less it starts to stutter. It is almost as if it needs to load first. I pause for a minute or so and it starts up again and plays for 30 seconds or less just fine but goes back to the stuttering.
I can play AVI just fine, no problems. FYI, under Network Connection in the Xbox 360 Media Center menu it is showing the network connection at the top of the graph. This Xbox console is a recent version, about 6 months old. PC is good home built i7 with good components. Xbox 360 Hard Drive
Should I be asking this question in the "Video Playback Problems" forum? Seems to be more related to Xbox because the PC can play it just fine. FYI, I also added the K-Lite codec pack if that matters.

Reason I ask is the one I bought has a 30 day warranty so I'm wondering if I should wait till that expires before opening it up.

I just got portal 2 and I am still running ixtreme 1.6. I have been patching games back to wave 3 since my machine is banned anyway so I am just playing locally not plugged into the internet. When I try to play portal 2 it says it requires my machine to be updated to play. Will this update mess my machine up so I can’t play backups anymore? Or is it safe to do so? I used 360 wave patcher to take the game back to wave 3 and I did not have keep system update checked so I thought it would remove an update if it had one. Seems like it didn’t. Sounds more like your Xbox may be overheating or something, like put the Xbox so it’s horizontal and have a cold fan blow into it or something, and don’t leave it plugged in when you’re not using it. If this happens with all your games, take GTA IV back and get a new one

Locate the spot on the Scarab’s rear armor that is below its rotating anti-air “ass” (or abdomen) turret. A few shots from Hornet missiles or Scorpion tank shells and the armor will fall off and reveal the critical system you normally need to board to wreck. Don’t forget that shooting the Scarab’s legs will stop it from turning.

In the Forge, edit the Sandtrap map and create a Scorpion. You can use the tank to lift and flip the Elephant (the large Sandcrawler vehicle). Once the Elephant is upside down (or undrivable), approach it to flip the vehicle and get a humorous message.

Playing the game, I was able to immediately see the improvements over 2010, especially in the player models. There’s a new physics system in use that makes each match feel more realistic, and you’ll even see the wrestler’s muscles moving under their skin. They’ve streamlined the controls as well, in many cases making it one button or one direction on a thumbstick to activate a grapple or pick up an opponent. Where 2010 could be frustrating at times, 2011 makes it easier. Especially when trying to chain grapples and attacks together.
My only real complaint came during a Briefcase Match, where a briefcase full of cash is suspended over the wrestling ring. You battle three other wrestlers, each trying to set up a ladder and yank the case down to win. The problem is, each time you’d carefully set up the ladder after knocking out your foes, you’d find that you had misjudged the placement … after getting to the top. Your wrestler can’t jump onto it even if he’s slightly off-target, which is definitely frustrating. Since your’e locked into a one-camera view, there’s no way to tell how close you are for situations like this.
But, we did spend a lot of time playing the new Hell in a Cell arena, which is much larger, and features weapons hidden under the canvas. There’s a much larger ringside area, and of course you can scale the Cell and do battle on top of the cage, and hurtle unfortunate wrestler to their doom down below. There’s something very satisfying about breaking a table with the falling body of John Cena. Fans of wrestling are definitely going to want to pick this up. If you do, challenge me to some Royal Rumble.

First call microsoft(18004myxbox) once you get a live person ask them what ports you have to open on your router(they will ask you which kind you have) then they will tell you. Next you have to call customer service for the router and tell them what you need to do. they will walk you through it(it’s pretty easy to do right from your comp) then just reset your xbox and you should be good. It can be kinda a pain but I had to do it to mine and it works great now.

I am having problems connecting to my network with my xbox 360. The other 3 computers in my house have no problems connecting to the internet. Make sure your router is pulling an IP Address for your Xbox. Go to your xbox dashboard and go to Network Settings > Test Connection. If the IP Address comes up ad 0.0.0.0, that’s where the problem is.
Unplug your router for 30 seconds then plug it back in. If it still doesnt work, depending on your type of router, there might be a switch on the back to Reassign IP Addresses.

My 2 year old Xbox HDD just broke. Whenever I start the Xbox, I can hear loud clicks coming from the HDD, as it tries to start up. I have downloaded Xboxhdm, and have searched through all material I could find, yet am still unsure what to do. keep coming upon posts saying that I need the Eeprom.bin from the original HDD, if I do not have that, as I cannot access the broken HDD, is there anything else I can do? I would appreciate any assistance that anyone can give me.

If you did not manage to get your backup info off of that broken HD (your lock code especially) your kind of screwed. Get another Motherboard/hard drive combo. Simply changing the HD's will not work, as you will get and error when starting up your Xbox. Every MoBo and HD are married to eachother by a lock code. You could also put a modchip in your system. You can then install a new HD and skip getting the motherboard.

While the HDD-Key would be of major use to you (the OP), You shouldn't have to kick yourself over it! If your Drive is dead. Then it's dead. and no Unlock-Key is goung to bring it back!
A Modchip (or a Mod'ed TSOP i.e. BIOS), that will allow you to use an Unlocked HDD. You can forget about Softmoding at this point! There's chance that you'll be able to rebuild your XBOX™ this way. As the HDD has to be locked when running a stock (i.e. Retail BIOS) or you will get an Error '05'. So your going to have to get a Chip at this point.
Now that you have a new Modchip installed and your HDD is reconected you should use an installer Disc (i.e. Slayers), to Format your HDD and install EVOX to your new HDD. IIRC the Slayers CD should also have a Program called 'ConfigMagic'. You can use this to relock your new HDD. Just a quick tip… You might want to take the time and write this infomation down, and lock it up somewhere.
You can reinstall your M$Dash by useing a current XBL! enabled Game. with the help of another Program like BoxPlorer or XCommander. To locate and execute the 'Dashupdate.xbe' File that's on thoses Game Disc's. This will then replace your M$ Dash with the current version.

Everyone's talking about their experiences shopping at game stores and the asinine comments about pink controllers and what awesome girlfriends they are. But what about we girls who worked at the game store!? It's just as awful. Then it's the customers who assume your just there to be tits for them like the booth girls at E3. I used to get into arguments about the merits of the 2K sports series over Madden ALL THE TIME (and now that EA owns the NFL rights there's no options), and it almost always denigrated into, "Yeah, but you (girl) don't even play football games so how do you know?"
While I find it kind of annoying that the Live support team sent a canned response indicating user gender, I can easily see how it happened. I bet the people here in comments going OMFFFFFFFG FUCK YOU XBOX GRARRRR!!!!! have never worked front line tech support like this. Let me tell you something, you guys, it fucking sucks. I was a tech support rep for years and every single place I worked at had very strict stats you had to meet every day — so many calls answered, so many emails responded to, quick quick quick, hustle hustle hustle, help everyone as fast as you can. Get 'em off the phone, send 'em whatever answer seems to match what they're asking.
Most likely what happened here was one lazy or forgetful tech, who either cut and paste the wrong canned answer (maybe working from a previous emailed question), or was just lazy and grabbed the first canned answer that had even a passing relationship to the question the customer actually asked. I've seen it happen a million times, and I know I've accidentally done it myself. I sure hope my mistake of the past didn't cause a customer of any former employers to react with this much outrage, because dang.

The twists and turns of the plot do their part to inspire interest, but low-resolution cutscenes and eccentric, oft-repeated voice-overs make it hard to take DarkStar One's story seriously. The actors portraying the leads aren't so bad, and a few side players come across well, like the boisterous, swashbuckling Captain Hornblower. Having made its original debut in 2005, the Xbox 360 has been long overdue for a redesign. While we’ve seen a number of color variations and special editions over the last five years, as well as a few quiet changes to the internal components, the core aesthetic framework of the system had remained the same. At E3 2010, Microsoft surprised the gaming community with a comprehensive overhaul to the Xbox 360 design, which will completely replace the previous generation once retail stock is depleted.
The new Xbox 360 boasts a trimmer frame with a new finish, as well as some long-awaited features, like built-in Wi-Fi and expanded USB ports, but is it all around a better design?
