Can hook up a regular xbox 360 controller up to a pc?
Jan 11th
I know microsoft makes a 360 controller u can use for computer games on the pc but i want to know if there is a way i can plug a regular xbox controller into the usb on my computer maybe if there is a driver i can download or something.
Solution
If it's a wired 360 controller, then you can just plug it in and the right drivers will download from Windows Update.
If it's a wireless controller, you need to pick up the "Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows" to be able to get the PC to see the controller, but that receiver can be pretty hard to find now. There's no cable you can use to plug a wireless controller into a PC and use it as a controller (there is a cable, but it's only for *charging* the controller, not using it). It comes with the drivers you need.

why xbox 360 controller mod can increase ones gaming talents
Sep 19th
The gaming world is constantly evolving new ways to enhance a player’s skill or experience. These innovations come in the form of modifications applied to every component included with a console system. An Xbox 360 controller mod is growing in popularity due to their unique features and flexible programmability.
The most popular games out there are first person shooters. They pit player against player in massive online battles. Advantage, provided by rapid-fire capabilities, is a goal for many gamers. These enhanced remotes enable the player to increase their speed and reaction time.
Because the needs and wishes of an individual vary from person to person, manufacturers have created a large amount of customization options. These can be as simple as interchangeable, ergonomically designed grips to extensive color and pattern styles that reflect the players’ identity. Now, even a left-handed gamer can feel totally comfortable with their controller.
Some people do not like the thumb-sticks that come with a boxed remote. Others simply want theirs to stand-out from their friends. Suppliers have tapped into this market with a myriad of choices. From altering the stick positioning to flashy and colorful displays of style, one can easily find the right thumb-stick replacements from the many available options.
The casing itself can even be swapped out for a more comfortable or stylish result.
Manufacturer’s offer them in a variety of colors and a plethora of designs. People can even represent their favorite games with a case that has color patterns and molded shapes of creatures from the game. Wood paneling, custom wording and glossy paint are just a few of the options out there.
An Xbox 360 controller mod is easily attainable through a simple internet search. Whether an individual is just looking to express themselves or gain a tactical advantage, these modifications can fit any need. The only real problem a gamer faces is deciding which ones are right for them.
Detail About New Xbox 360 controller
Sep 7th
The Xbox 360 controller has the same basic familiar button layout as the Controller S (from the original Xbox) except that a few of the auxiliary buttons have been moved. The “back” and “start” buttons have been moved to a more central position on the face of the controller, and the “white” and “black” buttons have been removed and replaced with two new bumpers that are positioned over the analog triggers on the back of the controller.
The controller has a 2.5mm headset jack on the front so that the user can plug in a headset for voice communication during game play. It also features a proprietary USB connector (which is split into 2 parts on either side of the headset connector) for use with additional accessories, such as the chatpad.

Any Xbox 360 controller w/o weird analog stick placement?
Aug 16th
I have an Xbox and ps3 and the only reason i prefer the ps3 controller is that the analog sticks are in the same level (both hands are in the same position when using both analog sticks.)
The problem is, when I play on the xbox, my left hand fits naturally while my right hand is in a very uncomfortable position because of the right analog stick placement. Is there any Xbox 360 controller withthe right analog stick in the same level as the left one (like how the left one is top left so is there any controller with the analog stick located in the top right of the controller?

No,I had same problem when I bought xbox360.however I now find the xbox controller to be far superior they dont break down as easy and the triggers give you better accuracy, sensitivity
Xbox 360 wireless controller have to be branded for PC to connect?
Jun 9th
I’ve been thinking of buying a wireless Xbox 360 controller to use on my PC with Windows 7.
Now doing some research, I’ve come across two types of controllers, one branded for PC and the other one without.
Are they both the same controller with a different name?
Would a 360 controller without the “FOR WINDOWS” branding still connect with the PC?
The 360 and Windows branded controllers are exactly the same. A “Windows” controller can be synced with a 360, and a “360″ controller can be synced with a Windows PC. If it’s a wireless controller, then you need the Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows to get it to link with a PC.
Five Steps to Mod Xbox 360 Controller for Shooting Games
Dec 31st
The first step is the easiest: unscrew the back of the controller. I think you can handle that. We need to get at the insides because we’re going to mess around with the actual circuit board in there.
Next you’ve got to remove the circuit board so you can get behind it, on the back of the controller. You’re going to make a little 5mm hole in back of where the actual modification is going to take place. This will eventually be where your new button will come out of.
The next step in engineering Xbox 360 rapid fire controllers is to install the button. Of course, you’ll need a button to do this, but you will have already gotten that and the other accessories, right?
After that you’ve got to carefully solder the new wires into place. This is the part where the process can’t be explained anymore, and if you really want to do it yourself (DIY) then you’ll have to consult some jpeg’s or video. There’s documentation in this form out there somewhere.
The final step in building your Xbox 360 controllers involves a somewhat complicated process of refastening the two halves while getting the button into place. The button has to be solid so it won’t bobble around or fall out or in. And after that all you’ve got to do is plug your new rapid fire controller in (if it’s wired) and start playing some good old Call of Duty 4. Don’t advertise the fact that you’re cheating a bit. Keep it on the DL or else you’ll gain a lot of haters and that can have adverse consequences.
